Nagaland State Bharat Scouts and Guides tour to Tseminyu and Kohima concludes

NSBSG tour to Tseminyu and Kohima concludes

  • DIMAPUR — A seven-member team of the Nagaland State Bharat Scouts and Guides (NSBSG) led by state secretary, Thepfuzakie Angami, successfully conducted its 4th phase tour to Tseminyu and Kohima districts on May 15.

  • An update from NSBSG stated that the team met the deputy commissioners (DC) of Tsemenyu and Kohima districts and apprised them of the worldwide brotherhood and sisterhood movement of scouting/ guiding in the state.

  • It added that induction ceremonies for both the DCs were done in the presence of the DEOs, SDEOs, head of institutions, district officials and unit leaders from the respective districts.

  • It stated that Rohit Singh was inducted as the 1st district president of Tseminyu district Bharat Scouts and Guides, while B Henok Buchem, was inducted as the district president of Kohima district Bharat Scouts and Guides.

  • Report stated that both the deputy commissioners gave their assurance to support the cause of scouting/ guiding movement in their respective districts.

  • It mentioned that Tseminyu, being a new district, would be a big challenge for the district as well as the head of institutions to mobilise and introduce scout/ guide units in the district, while Kohima district, being the capital district, needs to enhance its strategy and revitalise the existing units as well as take up the responsibility to bring in more schools under its banner.

  • It further stated that the tour concluded on a positive note with both the DCs support and encouragement to district officials and head of institutions present during the programmes.
