The Nagaland Spelling Bee Championship 2026, organised by Fountain Club Kohima and SCERT, is tentatively scheduled for October 20–21 in Kohima.
KOHIMA — Fountain Club Kohima, in collaboration with the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), will hold the state-level Nagaland Spelling Bee Championship 2026 tentatively on October 20 and the 21st at the SCERT office in Kohima.
The championship will mark the 11th edition of the competition and is open to students from Classes 6 to 9. Recognised educational institutions and schools across Nagaland may nominate a maximum of two spellers each.
According to a press release issued by Fountain Club Kohima, participating forms and the terms and conditions can be downloaded from the websites of Fountain Club, The Morung Express and Excellogics.

Free food and lodging, with separate dormitory facilities for boys and girls, will be provided to participating spellers. Food and lodging for accompanying teachers and parents may also be arranged on request at nominal charges. However, no travelling allowance will be provided.
Attractive cash prizes will be awarded to successful spellers, while citations will be presented to all participating students and schools.
Awards will be given to the champion, first runner-up, second runner-up, third runner-up, Young Speller Award recipient, Promising Speller Award recipient from government schools, as well as all quarter-finalists.
