Nagaland appoints MLA Pongshi Phom as Advisor for Airways and Railways without additional financial benefits, effective immediately
KOHIMA — Nagaland government on Thursday appointed MLA A Pongshi Phom as Advisor to the Chief Minister for Airways and Railways, entrusting him with the responsibility of overseeing and coordinating matters related to the two sectors in the state.
The appointment was notified by the Cabinet Secretariat (Cabinet Cell) through a notification issued by Chief Secretary Sentiyanger Imchen and took immediate effect.
The notification clarified that the appointment carries no additional financial benefits. Phom will not be entitled to any pay, salary, emoluments, remuneration or other perks from the government of Nagaland beyond those already admissible to him as a member of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly through the Assembly Secretariat.
