DIMAPUR — The Nagaland Pencak Silat team won five medals at the 13th Junior National Pencak Silat Championship held at the Koppal District Khelo India Excellence Centre, Karnataka, from September 26 to the 28th.
According to an update, in the Tanding event, Reevan Jaishi secured a silver medal, while Jerome Yeptho and Nito Tuccu won bronze medals. In the Ganda event, Ashish Kumar Ray and Jerome Yeptho bagged bronze medals.
It said that the team, led by coach Deep Kumar, displayed skill, determination, and sportsmanship during the championship.

The Nagaland Pencak Silat Association congratulated all the medal winners and participants. It also acknowledged the dedication of the athletes and their coach, noting that their efforts will inspire younger generations and strengthen the foundation of martial arts in the state.
