Nagaland Olympic and Paralympic Games 2026 will feature nine sports and 17 district contingents across Chümoukedima and Dimapur in November
DIMAPUR — The Nagaland Olympic and Paralympic Games (NOPG) 2026 will be held from November 2 to 14 in Chümoukedima and Dimapur, the Nagaland Olympic Association (NOA) announced on Wednesday.
The Games will feature nine disciplines, with events for men and women in most sports. The disciplines are archery, athletics, badminton, basketball, boxing, football, pencak silat, taekwondo and wushu.
Football will be a men’s-only event, while the other eight disciplines will have men’s and women’s categories.
According to the NOA, the disciplines have been selected in line with those proposed for the 4th North East Games 2026, taking into account the infrastructure and resources available in the host cities.
The participating contingents will represent all 17 districts of Nagaland, with separate competition notifications to be issued to the concerned sports associations.

Player and team registration will be conducted online from October 1, with the deadline for registration of players and officials set for October 15. The NOA said no changes to registered names would be allowed after the registration process is completed.
The Games Organising Committee will provide accommodation, local transportation, food and technical arrangements for participants during the competitions. Arrival and departure schedules will be announced separately.
The NOPG is being organised as a multi-discipline state-level sporting event to provide athletes from across Nagaland an opportunity to compete and prepare for higher-level competitions.
The NOA said further notifications would be issued to sports associations and participating contingents ahead of the Games.
