Nagaland observes Parakram Diwas in Kohima and Dimapur. Advisor Kudecho Khamo graces the state-level event organised by NEZCC and Art and Culture Department.

DIMAPUR — Parakram Diwas, marking the 129th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, was observed in Kohima and Dimapur on January 23.
In Kohima, the North East Zone Cultural Centre (NEZCC), Dimapur, in collaboration with the Department of Art and Culture, Nagaland, observed the occasion at the State Academy Hall.
Speaking on the occasion as the guest of honour, Advisor for CAWD and Taxes, Kudecho Khamo, described Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose as a true patriot and visionary leader.

“His courage, charisma, and unwavering commitment to India’s freedom, which inspired India more than 80 years ago, continue to inspire us today,” Khamo said.
He noted that Netaji's vision for unity, commitment, and sacrifices ignited the sparks of patriotism, inspiring thousands to join the Indian National Army (INA) and fight for independence.
Dr. Vekho Swuro, INA and Netaji Trust representative, also addressed the gathering.
The event witnessed cultural performances by Khriekesa Kro (Angami), Tesophenyu Students Union (Rengma), Kuzhami Cultural Society (Chakhesang), and Rhythm Music Centre, Dimapur (Bengali cultural troupe).
In Dimapur, the Educen Office located in Sematilla Colony hosted two events: Saraswati Puja and the commemoration of Parakram Diwas.
According to an update, the celebration of Saraswati Puja also marked the arrival of Vasant Panchami.
Later in the day, the focus shifted to honouring Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. The event began with the lighting of candles and a moment of silence.
A keynote address by Raju Bhattacharjee, chairman of Educen, highlighted Netaji’s leadership, his call for unity, and his slogan, “Give me blood, and I will give you freedom.”
