He highlighted the importance of extending social security coverage to employees working in NGOs and societies.
During the session, incentives and waivers available under PM-VBRY and the Employee Enrolment Programme, 2025, were explained, outlining the benefits available to both employers and employees.
It was deliberated during the meeting that similar awareness programmes would be organised in the future to cover other NGOs and societies, enabling wider coverage of social security benefits while the schemes remain operational.
NGOs and societies that could not attend the programme have been advised to contact the EPFO office at the earliest to avail the benefits under the ongoing schemes.
