Tsütuonuomia Youth Organisation flays repeated burglary acts
DIMAPUR — The Tsütuonuomia Youth Organisation (TYO) has condemned the repeated acts of burglary committed by Kekietuo Solo of T Khel, Kohirna village. In a press release, the TYO maintained that such “actions stand in direct violation of the moral and ethical values that our society has upheld across generations—values of trust, respect, and honour.” The youth organisation also expressed gratitude to the officer in-charge of North Police Station and SIT team for their swift and effective response. “Let it be known that we do not condone or protect any wrongdoing. Accountability must prevail, even when difficult, for the sake of truth and integrity,” the TYO added.
Western Pochury Hoho Nagaland changes nomenclature
DIMAPUR — The Western Pochury Hoho Nagaland (WPHN) in its general body meeting held on May 31 at Chümoukedima Town Council hall, resolved to change its nomenclature to Pochury Hoho Western Nagaland (PHWN). The GBM also elected a new team for the tenure 2025-2027, an update stated. The new team is led by Zhitho Nyuthe as president; Paoseh Pochury, Asumong Pochury and Rhevitho Nguori (vice presidents); Sachutho Pojar (general secretary); Risiru Yitsüthu (joint secy.); Chiru Thuzu (finance secy.); Xepe Thüvüri (information & publicity secy.); Ruvisie (social & cultural secy.); Yitachu Thuu (statistical secretary), and Zhüpeng Apungho (treasurer). The advisory board are Chirhotho Rasutho Nyuosou, S Posatho and Pili.

Khiamniungan Students Union hotel management programme
DIMAPUR — The Khiamniungan Students Union (KSU), in collaboration with the Hotel Management under the aegis of Ministry of Tourism, is organising an awareness programme for State Institute of Hotel Management on June 24 at Government HSS, Noklak, at 10 am. According to a DIPR report, the professional programmes include B.SC in Hospitality and Hotel Administration, Diploma in Food production, and Diploma in Good & Beverage service etc. The KSU informed all wards under Noklak town to send at least three members who are graduate and above to avail the programme.
Skill development programme in Zunheboto
DIMAPUR — Deputy Commissioner Zunheboto, Dharam Raj, in a circular, informed that there will be a one-day skill development programme, to be conducted by the 'Eagle Crest Training Academy & Consultancy', in collaboration with district administration on June 25 at 11 am at the Multipurpose Hall, Zunheboto. All concerned have been informed to attend the programme.
ASHA certification exam held in Wokha
DIMAPUR — The National Health Mission under Department of Health and Family Welfare conducted Accredited Social Health Activist (ASHA) certification examination for 121 ASHAs under Wokha district at Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Wokha, on June 22. In a press release, the CMO office, Wokha, stated that the examination consisted of practical, theory and internal. A similar examination will be held for the ASHAs who are yet to be registered for the certification examination, it stated.
