NSCN (IM) directs CAOs on arrest warrant against kilonser Chophy
DIMAPUR — The NCSN (IM) has directed concerned caretakers/CAOs of Angami, Chakhesang, Sumi & UT, to implement the ‘Warrant of arrest’ issued on September 26 against deputy kilonser Hekugha Chophy. In an ‘Appeal letter’ on Monday, secretary to the GPRN, Q Swu, asked the caretakers/CAOs to coordinate with the Naga Army and produce the accused before the Ministry of Kilo Affairs within one week. Further, the NCSN (IM) appealed to all the general public or NNPGs not to shelter the accused/perpetrator/sexual offender Hekugha Chophy. “Any public or NNPGs found sheltering the accused shall be subjugated with heavy liabilities; further the Ministry (Kilo Affairs) shall leave no stone unturned to deliver justice for the aggrieved victim,” the letter stated.
CEAN general conference on October 18
DIMAPUR — The Civil Engineers’ Association of Nagaland (CEAN) has informed that its general conference-cum-felicitation programme will be held on October 18 at Nguyusem, opposite DGP’s residence, Kohima, at 12 noon. KSUD holds freshers’ meet
DIMAPUR — The Khiamniungan Students’ Union Dimapur (KSUD) held its freshers’ meet-cum-felicitation programme on October 11 at Town Hall, Dimapur, on the theme ‘Celebrating excellence, embracing new beginnings,’ with P Longon, MLA, as the special guest, and president of Khiamniungan Sports Council T Musho Lam as guest of honour. The valedictory guest for the Mr. & Miss Fresher contest was H Shou, Joint Director, Department of Sericulture, the union stated in an update. The event featured the felicitation of achievers in various undertakings and the Mr. & Miss Fresher 2025 contest, highlighting diverse talents of the new students. Kheangpen L and Thongkoi Khiamniungan were declared Mr. Fresher 2025 and Miss Fresher 2025, respectively.
Tseminyu DPDB meeting on October 18
DIMAPUR — District Planning Officer and Members Secretary of DPDB Tseminyu, Meyikokba Jamir has informed all the board members that the monthly meeting of the District Planning & Development Board for the month of October will be held on October 18 at 12 noon at the DC’s conference hall. All the DPDB members have been requested to attend the meeting positively, a DIPR report stated.
