Power shutdown in parts of Nagaland
DIMAPUR — The Power department of Mokokchung transmission division has decided to undertake vegetation clearance of 132kV and 66kV transmission lines from October 20 to November 22. The exercise is being necessitated to provide stable power supply and avoid unwarranted disruption of supply. In this regard, it informed that there would be total shutdown of power from 8 am to 4 pm daily in order to facilitate smooth executive of the works. The department has appealed to all public in the affected areas to cooperate and bear with the inconveniences during the shutdown period. It informed that power supply to Tuensang and Kiphire would be affected from October 20 to the 25th, Zunheboto district from October 27 to November 8, Changtongya, Tuli, Longleng and Mon from November 10 to the 15th and Longnak and Mangkolemba from November 17 to the 22nd.

AASAS, NU to celebrate silver jubilee
DIMAPUR — The Alumni Association of the School of Agricultural Sciences (AASAS), Nagaland University, Medziphema Campus, will celebrate its 25th Alumni Meet 2025, commemorating the silver jubilee on October 20 at the multipurpose hall from 9 am onwards on the theme “Celebrating 25 years of memories, milestones and togetherness.” The association has invited all SAS alumni across the globe to participate, support and contribute towards achieving its vision and objectives. NSCN (Khango) recovers car
DIMAPUR — The union territory-I (UT-1) personnel of Khango-led NSCN/GPRN recovered a silver colour Maruti Suzuki Alto bearing Engine No. MA3EAD1S00440034 and Chasis No. MA3EADE1S00440034XCD. In this connection, the NSCN/GPRN UT-1 asked the rightful owner to claim the same from its office by producing the documents in original within 7 days. It further asked the concerned owner to contact its official no phone No. 9863759757 for further information.
