NDPP congratulates Abu Metha

DIMAPUR — The Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) has congratulated Abu Metha, Secretary General of the NDPP, Advisor to the Chief Minister and the Vice-President of the Athletics Federation of India (AFI), for been appointed as the co-chairman of the AFI Modernisation Committee for the year 2025-26. In a press release, the party expressed pride for the NDPP and the people of Nagaland that one of their own (Abu Metha) had been given the honour of shouldering a significant responsibility, highlighting the recognition of his talents and capabilities by the top athletics organisation. The NDPP wished Metha all the best in his new role, expressing faith in his ability to take sports in India and Nagaland to new heights, and praying for God's continued guidance and blessings.

Chozuba holds meeting for I-Day

DIMAPUR — The 79th Independence Day celebration was planned out for Chozuba sub-division, Phek district, during a coordination meeting under the chairmanship of Dr. Diana Patton, ADC Chozuba, at ADC office on Monday.  According to a DIPR report, work distribution and assignment of duties to different departments and stakeholders were highlighted in the meeting. A mass social work is scheduled on August 9 for Chozuba town. The coordination meeting was attended by the heads of offices/ institutions/ stakeholders along with Chozuba Town Council members, councillors, GBs and NGOs under Chozuba sub-division.

Noklak to hold Sampoornata meeting

DIMAPUR — Extra Additional Commissioner of Noklak, Bangjunglemba, has informed all heads of offices of Noklak district that a district level programme on Sampoornata Abhiyan (Aspirational Block Programme) will be held on July 30 at 11 am. According to a DIPR report, the venue for the programme will be intimated in due course. All HoDs and block level officials from Thonoknyu sub-division have been requested to attend the meeting.
