DIMAPUR — A 33KV power line supplying the Phek–Pfutsero area suffered damages on July 27 following a landslide near Akash Bridge, according to an official report from the sub divisional officer (Electrical), Phek.
In a letter addressed to the executive engineer of Phek Electrical Division, the SDO stated that a double pole span of the 33KV line was damaged due to ongoing 2-lane road construction in the area.
The letter further mentioned that restoration of the damaged line would only be possible after the construction of a new line.
As a temporary measure, the SDO requested the executive engineer to contact Kohima sub-station for provision of 33KV power supply from Chakhabama until the damaged section is rebuilt.
