EDTC bans collection from vendors
DIMAPUR — The East Dimapur Town Council (EDTC) has notified that no organisation, society, individual or group would be allowed to collect any kind of membership fee, donation or subscription from any business or vendor within its jurisdiction. It warned that legal action would initiated as per relevant laws and regulation against any individual or group found engaging in such collection. It also informed the public and vendors that a weekly market day would be held on every Friday at Daily Bazaar starting from September 19. All vendors, both local and non-local, are encouraged to participate and make the best use of the opportunity to sell and promote their products.
Agri. consultative meet in Wokha
DIMAPUR — The Deputy Commissioner of Wokha has informed that a consultative meeting with Agri. and allied departments will be held on September 12 at 9 am at the DC’s conference hall, Wokha. As per an official bulletin, the meeting is being organised to finalise both short-term and long-term strategies for advancing agricultural and allied sector development in the district. The initiative seeks to integrate science, technology, and innovation in collaboration with CSIR-NEIST to promote sustainable growth and productivity. All heads of Agriculture and allied departments have been requested to attend the meeting and actively participate in the planning process.

AOU conference on September 13
DIMAPUR — The Ao Officers’ Union (AOU) comprising of three units, namely the Kohima Ao Officers’ Union, Mokokchung Ao Officers’ Union and Dimapur Zone Ao Officers’ Union, will be organising a one-day conference on September 13 at Town Hall, Mokokchung. Dr. Sentitula, DFO Mokokchung, will be the main speaker for the event, while Sentiyanger Imchen, Chief Secretary, will be exhort the gathering. Sharingain Longkümer, Speaker of Nagaland Legislative Assembly, will also speak on behalf of all the Ao legislators, a DIPR report stated. The conference marks a new beginning for Ao officers from across the state and all Ao officers have been requested to be part of the conference, the report stated.
Swachhata Hi Seva campaign in Chozuba
DIMAPUR — Additional Deputy Commissioner of Chozuba, Dr. Diana Patton, has convened a meeting for Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign 2025 under Chozuba Town Council (CTC) on September 15. According to a DIPR report, chairman and councillors of CTC, senior medical officer of CHC, principal of GHSS, ranger of Forest department, JE of PHED, information assistant of IPR, head DB of ADC office, head GB, all heads of educational institutions, presidents of Business Union, CTWWS and CTCSU, along with youth director of CTBC and RBC have been requested to attend the meeting.

CANSSEA Tseminyu office inaugurated
DIMAPUR — The office of the Confederation of All Nagaland State Services Employees Association (CANSSEA), Tseminyu unit, was inaugurated on September 10 at Tseminyu New town with CANSSEA general secretary Yhunsenlo Kent as the special guest. According to a DIPR report, the programme was chaired by general secretary, CANSSEA Tseminyu unit, Dr. Gwathonlo Tsela, while associate pastor (youth) of Bethel Baptist Church, Senenlo Tep invoked God's blessing. Presidential address was delivered by president of CANSSEA Tseminyu unit, Hichulo Semy, The programme concluded with vote of thanks by Jonah Semp, vice president of CANSSEA Tseminyu unit.
Phek DTO informs pensioners
DIMAPUR — The District Treasury Office (DTO), Phek, has informed that the annual physical verification for the current year 2025- 2026 will be from September 13 to the 17th during office hours (10 am to 3 pm). According to a DIPR report, concerned pensioners have been informed to appear for the verification with recent passport photos, photo copy Aadhaar card, and bank book. Further, all pensioners must attend the physical verification during scheduled dates, failing which pension payment will be stopped for unverified pensioners.
Tseminyu DPDB meeting on September 18
DIMAPUR — The monthly Tseminyu District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) meeting for the month of September will be held on September 18 at 12 noon at the DC’s conference hall. District planning officer & member secretary of DPDB Tseminyu, Meyikokba Jamir, informed all the board members to attend the meeting positively, a DIPR report stated.
