DIMAPUR — The Nagaland Joint Christian Forum (NJCF), in an urgent executive meeting held in Dimapur on May 14, thoroughly discussed the prevailing situation in Manipur and strongly expressed that there is no justification of the evil committed by cowards and must be made accountable before God and before man in the strictest form of the court.
It made it clear that unless the evil is uprooted in the community, people will turn into senseless human beings. While condemning the inhumane act meted to innocent lives, it stated that people must fight for justice at any cost by embracing each other to eradicate evil forces at work in the region.
The Forum reminded all communities to come forward from hatred and hostilities in the spirit of Christian love and reconciliation. It also appealed to the communities in the region to choose the path of peace.

Meanwhile, the Forum has appealed to the communities to immediately release those who are kidnapped and held hostage. It also appealed to both the Nagas and Kukis to cease hostility and listen to the cry of the common people stating that hatred and animosity would not solve their problem.
“We must resolutely take the courage to come out of vengeance and build bridges.
What future do we have if we call ourselves as Christians while we cannot even practice what we believe? We cannot go back to the savage life. If human words have failed to speak to us, listen to the still small voice that violence is not the solution but love and forgiveness are the foundation which can draw us to each other,” the Forum said.
It further urged the central government to act with precision and not just make lame excuses.
“Do not let loose the evil that is happening right under your watching eyes. Do not play politics over the lives of the innocents,” the Forum urged the central government.
