Aggrieved landowners notify members to submit document

DIMAPUR — The aggrieved landowners from Purzna Bazaar to Chümoukedima held a meeting on May 5 with the concerned authorities regarding re-survey and fair compensation for land affected under the already constructed NH 29 expansion project.
An update stated that although 136 (less) landowners were approved for compensation, any among them who still feel aggrieved could join and support the common cause.

It stated that during the meeting, the aggrieved landowners were advised to seek legal remedy through a Civil Suit. It added that the advisor to the Aggrieved Landowners Committee has expressed support for pursuing the matter through appropriate legal proceedings.
It informed that preparations are being initiated to file the case collectively on behalf of the affected landowners. In this regard, all the concerned landowners are requested to urgently submit two photocopies of the land patta for legal proceedings.
