DIMAPUR — Jakhama village in Kohima district has been adopted as the ‘Myki Village’ for the financial year 2026-27 under the Myki Village Adoption Initiative of the Department of Women Resource Development.
A formal programme was held at the Panchayat Hall, Jakhama village, on Thursday, with MLA Kevipodi Sophie as the special guest, according to a DIPR report.
Following the state government’s policy of ‘One district - one product,’ the initiative seeks to promote the approach of ‘one village - one product’, wherein an activity already undertaken by the village womenfolk would be upscaled to enhance production and improve market linkages.
