DIMAPUR — The Nagaland Hotel & Restaurant Association (NHRA) has reminded its members to strictly adhere to the state government’s guidelines, including fire safety measures, pollution control, health and food safety, waste management, EPF compliance, and liquor and entertainment licences.
In a press release, the association also insisted on maintaining proper guest registration with valid ID cards, ensuring customer safety and security, and not to allot rooms to minors and students in uniform.
“In this regard, the association has informs its members to diligently comply with the state government's directions. Failing which, the association would not hesitate to take action against any members as per the provisions of the NHRA Constitution,” it stated.
The NHRA also reminds its members to obtain and display valid trade licenses issued by municipal or town councils, reflecting the name of the establishment's proprietor, to promote fair practices and compliance.

Further, the NHRA advised its members not to give in to intimidation or threats for taxation or forceful donations from individuals or groups, but instead to handle such matters in accordance with the law.
The association affirmed that it aims to promote tourism in Nagaland by providing top-notch services — quality accommodation, local and multi-cuisine dining, amenities etc.
“This gives tourists a vibrant experience, helping them navigate the destination better. Consequently, it boosts state revenue and also creates more employment opportunities in many aspects,” it stated.
