The Department of Higher Education has detailed the process of online application and Aadhaar seeding for the Post Matric Scholarship.
DIMAPUR — The Scheme Implementing Agency of the Centrally Sponsored Scheme (CSS) for Post Matric Scholarship for Scheduled Tribe (ST) students of Nagaland, under the Department of Higher Education, has informed the public about the application and disbursement process for the scholarship.
The Post Matric Scholarship is provided to eligible ST students of Nagaland who have passed the matriculation, higher secondary, or any higher examination of a recognised university or board, subject to the prescribed eligibility criteria, verification, and approval by the competent authorities.
To apply online, eligible students are required to submit their online scholarship applications through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) at scholarships.gov.in and submit a hard copy to their respective institutions within the stipulated timeline.
Following the submission of the online application and the required hard copies, the applications are verified by the respective institute nodal officers (L1) with regard to the student’s admission, course of study, ST certificate, fee structure, and other relevant supporting documents.
Applications verified at the institute level (L1) are further scrutinised and approved at the state level (L2) by the state nodal officer (SNO) as per the applicable guidelines.

Applications identified and marked as "Defective" at either Level 1 or Level 2 must be rectified online by the applicants within the stipulated timeline, after which no modifications or corrections shall be permitted.
The department clarified that submitting an application does not guarantee scholarship payment, as selection remains subject to the accuracy and validity of the information and documents uploaded online by the student.
Students and parents or guardians are advised to rely solely on official communications issued by the Directorate of Higher Education and the designated scholarship or department websites.
