DIMAPUR — The Kohima Bench of Gauhati High Court has allowed suspended IAS officer Reny Wilfred to amend his writ petition to challenge the chargesheet filed against him in connection with allegations of sexual harassment during his tenure as joint secretary of the Investment and Development Authority of Nagaland (IDAN).
The order, passed on September 9, permits Wilfred to include the challenge to chargesheet No. 6/2025 submitted by the police on July 30 in State Crime Police Station Case No. 01/2025. The court gave him a week’s time to file the amended petition.
Wilfred had earlier sought to quash the FIR and a complaint filed by Nagaland State Commission for Women (NSCW) over the alleged harassment.
With the chargesheet now submitted, his counsel argued that the petition needed to be amended to cover the new development.

The court listed the matter for admission hearing on October 7 and directed the Registry to call for the trial court records from the court of the District and Sessions Judge, Kohima.
Nagaland Police had registered the FIR on April 4, 2025, and later constituted a special investigation team. Wilfred, a 2015-batch officer, was placed under suspension on May 21, with disciplinary proceedings initiated.
He is also facing prosecution under the POCSO Act in a separate case involving two minor domestic workers during his tenure as deputy commissioner of Noklak.
