KOHIMA — Nagaland Police have submitted a chargesheet against IAS officer Reny Wilfred in connection with allegations of sexual harassment of female employees during his tenure as Joint secretary of Investment and Development Authority of Nagaland (IDAN).

An FIR was registered against Wilfred at the state crime police station (Case No. 01/2025) on April 4.

Subsequently, a special investigation team (SIT) led by a senior IPS officer was constituted to investigate the case.

During a hearing on July 22, the Kohima Bench of Gauhati High Court was informed that the police had submitted the chargesheet on June 30 (Charge Sheet No. 6/2025).

The public prosecutor submitted that the chargesheet was forwarded to the chief judicial magistrate on July 2.

The court noted, “It is submitted at the bar that since the petitioner had prayed for stay of the investigation... and the chargesheet is now submitted, the interim prayer for stay of the investigation has become infructuous.”

The petitioner’s counsel requested more time to file a reply, which the court allowed. The matter is listed for hearing after two weeks.
