DIMAPUR — The Director of the Brahma Kumaris Kohima Centre, Sister Rupa, paid a courtesy visit to Governor of Nagaland Nand Kishore Yadav on June 20 to brief him on various community service initiatives being carried out by the organisation in the state.
According to a press release, during the meeting, Rupa highlighted the organisation’s efforts in promoting moral and ethical values among different sections of society, including youth, students, women, and security personnel.
She explained that through seminars, workshops, meditation programmes, and value-based education, the Brahma Kumaris strive to help individuals strengthen their character, develop positive thinking, and enhance their holistic well-being to cope with the growing mental and emotional challenges of modern life.
She also informed the governor about the forthcoming Mission Karmayogi initiative. Referring to the recent launch of a special Karmayogi project in collaboration with the Brahma Kumaris at a national level in New Delhi, she shared the vision of organising a similar programme at Lok Bhavan, Kohima, for government officials and administrators in Nagaland.

It was mentioned that the proposed programme aims to empower officials through role-based leadership, value-based governance, and effective work culture, enabling them to perform their responsibilities with greater efficiency, commitment, and excellence.
The governor appreciated the contribution of the Brahma Kumaris in the field of spiritual education, value-based leadership, and social transformation, both in Nagaland and across the country. He commended the organisation for its continuous efforts in promoting mental well-being, ethical values, and harmonious living among people from all walks of life.
The governor encouraged the Brahma Kumaris to continue expanding their outreach activities for the benefit of the people of Nagaland. He expressed confidence that such initiatives would greatly contribute to the mental, moral, and character development
