Nagaland Governor and Chief Minister extend warm greetings to Khiamniungan and Pochury communities on Tsokum and Yemshe festivals.

DIMAPUR — Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla and Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio have extended warm greetings to the Khiamniungan and Pochury communities on the occasions of Tsokum and Yemshe festivals, respectively.
In his message, Governor Bhalla described Tsokum, the premier festival of the Khiamniungan community, as a time of thanksgiving to the Almighty for his abundant blessings and an occasion to pray for prosperity and good health.
He expressed hope that the festival would strengthen bonds of unity, promote peace and preserve the rich cultural heritage of the people.
Extending greetings to the Pochury community on Yemshe, the governor said that the harvest festival was an expression of gratitude for a bountiful harvest and a prayer for well-being and prosperity.
He added that Yemshe reflects unity, cultural richness, and the spirit of togetherness, and wished that it bring harmony and brotherhood among all.
Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio also conveyed his wishes through the X platform, greeting both communities on their respective festivals. He said that Tsokum was an occasion to seek blessings for a bountiful harvest and prayed that it strengthen unity while bringing good health and prosperity.
Greeting the Pochury community on Yemshe, Rio described it as a harvest festival marking the arrival of a new season, celebrated with rituals, feasting, and community bonding.
He expressed hope that the festival would usher in blessings and further strengthen bonds of unity.
