Nagaland Governor Nand Kishore Yadav assured action on ex-servicemen’s grievances at a rally held at Kisama Heritage Village in Kohima.

DIMAPUR — Nagaland Governor Nand Kishore Yadav on Tuesday assured that concerns raised by the ex-servicemen community would be examined and addressed after a memorandum was submitted to him during an ex-servicemen rally at Kisama Heritage Village.
According to a press release from the Lok Bhavan, the assurance came after the president of the Ex-Servicemen (ESM) League submitted a memorandum highlighting key issues affecting veterans.
Addressing the gathering, the Governor paid tributes to ex-servicemen, Veer Naris and families of soldiers, acknowledging their service and sacrifice for the nation. He said the rally was an occasion to honour those who have served with courage and dedication.


He also commended the Indian Army for its continued support to veterans and their families, stating that such initiatives reflect enduring traditions of camaraderie and institutional care.
Highlighting the role of veterans and Veer Naris, the Governor said their contributions remain a source of inspiration and emphasised the need for society to recognise and support them with dignity.

He further appreciated the Indian Army, particularly the Spear Corps, for organising the rally, and acknowledged the participation of various organisations and institutions. He also noted the role of the state administration in supporting the welfare of ex-servicemen and their families.
Reaffirming the nation’s gratitude, the Governor said the service and sacrifices of veterans and Veer Naris have contributed to safeguarding the country’s freedom and strengthening its democratic foundations.
