First phase of Census 2027 house listing operations begins in Noklak and Kohima, covering the Governor's residence.

DIMAPUR — The first phase of the Census 2027 house listing and housing census operations commenced in Kohima and Noklak districts on Wednesday.
In Kohima, the house listing of Lok Bhavan, the official residence of the Governor of Nagaland, was conducted as part of the House Listing Operations.
According to an update, the house listing of Governor Nand Kishore Yadav was led by Deputy Commissioner and Principal Census Officer of Kohima, B Henok Buchem, in the presence of the city census officer and other census officials. The exercise was completed in accordance with the prescribed procedures.
Meanwhile, in Noklak, the operations involved 160 census functionaries, including the charge officers, according to a DIPR report.
Noklak Town Charge Officer Vikhoto Richa, Sub-Divisional Officer (Civil) of Noklak, along with supervisors and enumerators, visited the residence of the deputy commissioner (DC) of Noklak as part of the house-to-house operations at 7 am.
DC and Principal Census Officer of Noklak, P Mono Khiamniungan, extended best wishes to all the charge officers and census functionaries across the district and appealed to all stakeholders to cooperate and support them for an accurate and successful conduct of the Census 2027.
