Nagaland: Cash awards for meritorious sportspersons on National Sports Day

DIMAPUR — The Directorate of Youth Resources and Sports (DYRS) has announced that the cash award programme for meritorious sportspersons for the year 2024–25 will be held on August 29, coinciding with the National Sports Day celebration.

The event will take place at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima, at 10 am. Awards will be presented to athletes who have won medals in recognised disciplines and tournaments affiliated with the Nagaland Olympic Association (NOA) at the international, national, and regional levels.

The DYRS has requested medal winners who have been selected to contact their respective State Sports Associations to confirm eligibility for the awards. Sportspersons can also verify their eligibility through the department’s official Instagram and Facebook pages.

Registration for the award ceremony will be held between 8 am and 9.30 am at the venue.
