Nagaland braces for scattered to widespread rainfall

  • DIMAPUR — The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast fairly widespread to widespread moderate rainfall, thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds with speeds of 30-40 kmph (gusting up to 50 kmph) over Northeast India from May 12 to 17.

  • As per the district-wise forecast for Nagaland, Dimapur, Phek, Wokha, Kiphire, Longleng and Mon districts are very likely to experience scattered rainfall and thundershowers on May 12 and 13, followed by isolated rainfall and thundershowers from May 14 to 17.

  • Tuensang, Mokokchung, and Zunheboto districts are very likely to experience scattered rainfall and thundershowers from May 12 to 14, and isolated rainfall and thundershowers from May 15 to 17.

  • Peren district is likely to experience scattered rainfall and thundershowers in the coming four days (May 12 to 15) and isolated rainfall and thundershowers on May 16 and 17.

  • Kohima district is likely to witness fairly widespread rainfall and thundershowers on May 12 and 13, and scattered rainfall and thundershowers from May 14 to 16.
