Nagaland Board of School Education notifies schools about the Indian Navy's THINQ-25 quiz for classes 9 to 12, encouraging maximum student participation.

KOHIMA — The Secretary and Chairperson (Additional Charge) of NBSE, Rangumbuing Nsarangbe, informed all the heads of registered institutions under the Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) that the Indian Navy is organising THINQ-25, a national-level quiz competition for students of classes 9 to 12, with the objective of fostering national maritime consciousness.
In a notification, he cited that the initiative was launched in 2022 and has now become one of India’s largest and most prestigious annual quiz competitions.
He informed that the quiz will be conducted in hybrid mode, with online elimination and zonal rounds and offline semi-final and final rounds.
The top 16 teams will compete in the semi-finals, and the best eight will advance to the grand finale, both to be held at the Indian Naval Academy (INA), Ezhimala, Kannur, Kerala, during mid-November 2025.
He mentioned that the Indian Navy will cover all travel, boarding, and lodging expenses for the qualifying participants and accompanying staff and that registration is now open on the official website (indiannavythinq.in), with no registration fee; however, registration must be done through the school. There will be two students per team, and the last date for registration is August 31.

Multiple teams per school can participate; however, only the top-scoring team from each school will advance beyond the first elimination round. All participants will receive e-certificates, with attractive prizes for the winners.
He informed that the online elimination round will be held in September 2025, the online zonal selection round will be conducted in October 2025, and the semi-final and grand final will be conducted in November 2025.
In this regard, he asked the heads of institutions to disseminate the information to the students and ensure maximum participation from students of classes 9 to 12. Participants are required to carry valid school ID proof during all rounds.
