Class of 2025 along with NBC faculty after the 44th
graduation service in Mokokchung on Thursday.
MOKOKCHUNG — A total of 21 students of
Nagaland Bible College (NBC) in Mokokchung were conferred degrees during its
44th graduation service held on Thursday at the Discovery Hall of the college.
The ceremony, attended by board members, kin and friends,
celebrated the resilience and dedication of the Class of 2025, who received
degrees alongside a host of academic awards.
The graduates included nine recipients of Master of Divinity
(M.Div), nine in Bachelor of Theology (B.Th) and three from the Institute of
Inter-Cultural Studies (IICS).
Presiding over the conferring of degrees and commissioning
of graduates, Dr. Sentila Ao, principal of NBC, lauded the students for their
perseverance.
“Your training at NBC was not an easy journey. You faced
trials—sickness, financial struggles, relational challenges—but you never gave
up. That’s why you stand here today,” she said.
Dr. Ao urged the graduates to remain steadfast in their
future ministries, acknowledging that challenges lie ahead.
“Ministry will not be easy, but if you don’t give up and
keep running the race, you’ll experience another victory like today, hearing
your Master Jesus say, ‘Well done,’” she said.
She encouraged them to look to Jesus as the “author and
protector of your faith” and live with “faith and trust” as they follow God’s
call to serve.
Reflecting on NBC’s mission to “reach the unreached,” Dr. Ao
traced the institution’s journey from its founding as a Bible School in Ao
vernacular in 1977 to its growth into a robust academic hub offering Asia
Theological Association (ATA)-accredited programmes from diplomas to degrees
and intensive missionary training through IICS.
Over the decades, NBC has produced over 1,000 graduates who
now serve faithfully as principals, college teachers, pastors and church
leaders across various ministries.
“NBC will remain training and mentoring centre, equipping
young people for God’s service as long as He calls them,” she vowed,
reaffirming the college’s enduring commitment.
