Nagaland Basketball Association announces squad for Senior National Championship

DIMAPUR — The Nagaland Basketball Association (NBA) has announced the selection of the men's and women's teams that will participate in the 75th Senior National Basketball Championship scheduled to take place from January 4 to the 11th in Chennai.

According to an update, following the selection trials conducted at Don Bosco Basketball Court on December 8, a panel of NBA selectors comprising coaches and officials finalised the individuals who will represent the state.

The selected men's team members are Thejangulie Mekro (captain), Salew Kadete (vice-captain), Neisezo Theunuo, Benhilo Lorin, Cuwe Mero, Keneizelhou Kevin Tale, Nukshizulu Pongen, Alirenba Aier L, Sharman Lama, Reo Mero, Kezevituo Suokhrie, and Shanchothung Jungio.

The team will be led by coach Seyievizo Kire and manager Neichutuo Rutsa.

Honorary secretary of the NBA, Sentiningsang Longkumer, mentioned that the selected teams will undergo training and preparation in Kohima under the supervision of the coach and NBA officials.

The team is scheduled to leave on December 30.
