Nagaland shooters bagged six gold and four silver medals at the 12th North East Zone Shooting Championship organised by the Mizoram Rifle Association under the NRAI.

DIMAPUR — The 12th North East Zone Shooting Championship, conducted by the National Rifle Association of India (NRAI) and organised by the Mizoram Rifle Association (MRA), was held from September 8 to the 13th at the MRA Shooting Gallery, Mualpui, Aizawl, Mizoram.
According to an update, a total of 12 shooters, comprising four women and eight men from Nagaland, participated in the championship and secured six gold medals and four silver medals.
Mizoram bagged the overall championship with 27 gold medals, followed by Meghalaya with 24, Assam 17, Nagaland 6, Assam Rifle Marksmanship Unit (ARMU) 5, Manipur 4, Army Marksmanship Unit (AMU) 2, and Arunachal Pradesh 1.

From Nagaland, Kikrukhrienuo Belho won gold in the 10m Air Rifle Women Individual and 10m Air Rifle Junior Women Individual events and secured silver in the 10m Air Rifle Youth Women Individual.
M Tiatemjen Jamir won silver in the 10m Air Rifle Men Individual (MQS), gold in the 50m Rifle 3 Position Master Men Individual, and gold in the 50m Rifle Prone Peep Sight Master Individual.
Lanu Akumtoshi Jamir claimed silver in the 50m Rifle 3 Position Master Men Individual and silver in the 50m Rifle Prone Peep Sight Master Individual.
Lanu Rongsenkaba Jamir secured gold in the 25m Standard Pistol Men Individual and gold in the 25m Standard Pistol Master Men Individual.
