Nagaland athletes secured eight gold medals at the 4th South Asian International Games 2025 in Kathmandu, excelling across junior, senior, and master’s categories.

The Nagaland team led by All Nagaland Shaolin Kung-Fu Association.


DIMAPUR — Athletes from Nagaland excelled at the 4th South Asian International Games 2025, held from September 10 to the 12th at Shankhadol Karate Academy, Jorpati, Kathmandu, securing eight gold medals.


The event was attended under challenging circumstances due to the situation in Nepal, according to an update received here on Friday.


The All Nagaland Shaolin Kung-Fu Association, in collaboration with Don Bosco Sports Academy, Dimapur Province, led the state contingent.

Meanwhile, the association expressed gratitude to the parents and guardians for their support and acknowledged the guidance of Our Lady Deputy Grandmaster and Chief General (Honorary) Nono Teresa Sorunuo, who led the team to Kathmandu.

Senior Category:


             Namlang Zeliang (Under 18, 50 kg) – Gold Medal, Sanda


             Nyurhunlo Kent (Under 23, 60 kg) – Gold Medal, Sanda


             Ayhunlo Jude Khing (28, 70 kg) – Gold Medal, Sanda


Master’s Category:


             Razouleu Caroline Sorunuo (Under 80 kg) – Gold Medal, Kata


             Meyiesielie Albert Sorunuo (Under 115 kg) – Gold Medal, Sanda
