Nagaland athletes win eight golds at South Asian International Games

DIMAPUR — Athletes from Nagaland excelled at the 4th South Asian International Games 2025, held from September 10 to the 12th at Shankhadol Karate Academy, Jorpati, Kathmandu, securing eight gold medals.

The event was attended under challenging circumstances due to the situation in Nepal, according to an update received here on Friday.

The All Nagaland Shaolin Kung-Fu Association, in collaboration with Don Bosco Sports Academy, Dimapur Province, led the state contingent.

Meanwhile, the association expressed gratitude to the parents and guardians for their support and acknowledged the guidance of Our Lady Deputy Grandmaster and Chief General (Honorary) Nono Teresa Sorunuo, who led the team to Kathmandu.

Master’s Category:

•             Razouleu Caroline Sorunuo (Under 80 kg) – Gold Medal, Kata

•             Meyiesielie Albert Sorunuo (Under 115 kg) – Gold Medal, Sanda
