Nazareth Higher Secondary School, Pfutsero, emerged champions in both boys’ and girls’ categories at the Phek District U-14 Sepaktakraw Tournament 2025.

PHEK — The Phek District Inter-Schools U-14 Sepaktakraw Tournament 2025 was held at the Badminton Stadium in Phek town on Friday, organised by the ANPSA Phek Unit.
The event began with an inaugural programme attended by guests, athletes, and school representatives. District Sports Officer Tepulezonu Tetso addressed the participants, encouraging young athletes to pursue professional sports and urging parents and schools to support talented students. The programme was presided over by Kudezo Vero, Assistant General Secretary of ANPSA Phek Unit.
Other highlights included an opening prayer by Fr. Sivi George, Principal of Bishop Abraham Memorial School, a welcome address by Thepuhu Thira, President of ANPSA Phek Unit, and a musical performance by Panato Chishi from Holy Care School, Phek. Athletes took an oath to uphold sportsmanship, administered by Stephen Choriya.

The tournament concluded with a prize distribution supervised by Ado Sakhrie, Advisor to ANPSA Phek Unit. The vote of thanks was delivered by Fr. Cyprian Lobo, followed by a benediction from Tsuvelu Hoshi, Assistant Headmaster at Royal Foundation School Phek.
