Nagaland Assembly concludes ninth session after passing six Bills, including FNTA, and adopting a resolution seeking PAP withdrawal
KOHIMA — Speaker of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly Sharingain Longkumer on Thursday adjourned the ninth session sine die after transacting all scheduled business, bringing the two-day session to a close.
The session passed six Bills, including the critical Frontier Nagaland Territorial Authority (FNTA) Bill, 2026, and adopted a government resolution urging the Centre to withdraw or relax the Protected Area Permit (PAP) regime in the state.
The House also took up and deliberated on matters of urgent public importance under Rules 50 and 54.
