Nagaland Assembly participates in Committee on Estimates conference

DIMAPUR — The national conference of the Estimates Committee of Parliament and State/UT legislative bodies was held on June 23-2 at Vidhan Bhawan Maharashtra, Mumbai.

According to a DIPR report, the conference marked the 75th anniversary of the Committee on Estimates. The Committee on Estimates, Nagaland Legislative Assembly, led by chairman Imkong L Imchen, members S Keoshu Yimchunger and Dr. Sukhato A Sema, along with the secretary-in-charge and accompanying officer, actively participated in the event.

During the conference, discussions were held on various crucial matters regarding the Committee on Estimates, which serves as the watchdog over the functioning of the government departments, ensuring accountability and transparency in governance, it stated.
