Naga Students' Union Bengaluru hosts 57th freshers’ meet-cum-Nagas’ Night with over 2,000 attendees in Bengaluru.

DIMAPUR — The Naga Students' Union Bengaluru (NSUB) organised its 57th freshers’ meet-cum-Nagas’ Night at the Kristu Jayanti (Deemed to be University) Auditorium in Bengaluru on October 2, on the theme “A legacy to carry, a future to create”.
According to a press release, the event welcomed new students and working professionals into the Naga community in Bengaluru, drawing over 2,000 students, dignitaries, and well-wishers.
In her presidential address, Sheyini reflected on the 57-year legacy of the union, honouring the vision and courage of those who laid its foundation and the generations that followed.
She reminded members that each generation must ask itself, “What are we leaving behind?" – a more connected community and a better foundation for those who come after us. She encouraged young Nagas to learn from those who came before them and use the opportunities they receive to give back to their people.

The event was attended by Deputy Chief Minister of Manipur Losii Dikho as the chief guest and Dr. Loung Nathan KK, Professor at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Bengaluru, as the guest speaker.
They spoke on vision, leadership, service, and the role of young people in carrying forward their heritage while contributing meaningfully to society.
The celebration featured a guest performance by artist KL Pamei, alongside cultural showcases representing the diverse traditions of the Naga community.
During the event, Shisalong Jamir from the Ao community and Khoziia Kashipri from the Mao community were crowned Mr. and Ms. Fresher NSUB 2026, respectively. Kashipri was also awarded Ms Popularity, while Ganguanglung Kamei from the Zeliangrong community was named Mr. Popularity.
