DIMAPUR — The Naga Students’ Federation has withdrawn the 10-day ultimatum, which was served to the state government on September 17 following the constitution of a high-level committee and sub-committee to thoroughly examine and address the charter of demands as placed by the RMSA teachers.
In an update, the Federation has appreciated the state government for its prompt action in addressing the grievances of the RMSA Teachers 2016 batch. It acknowledged the positive outcome of the meeting held on September 23 at the office of the Commissioner and Secretary of School Education, which was attended by officials from the School Education Department, Samagra Shiksha, ANSTA and representatives of the RMSA 2016 batch.
NSF has placed on record its sincere gratitude to the School Education Department under the leadership of its advisor, Dr. Kekhrie Yhome, for initiating reforms in the department and for prioritising the welfare of both teachers and students. It has assured full cooperation and support in the collective endeavour to bring about positive educational transformation in the state.

It expressed confident that the matter would be resolved within the stipulated timeframe and urged the high-level committee to expedite its report submission at the earliest possible date.
At the same time, the Federation appealed to the RMSA 2016 batch of teachers to multiply their dedication and commitment towards the student community, who remain the heart of the education system. It expressed believe that the collective efforts of the government, the teaching fraternity and all stakeholders would pave the way for a strengthened and more equitable education sector in Nagaland.
