DIMAPUR — The Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) has submitted a representation to the chairperson of the Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) urging stringent disciplinary action in connection with the Class 9 Final Examination 2025 Phase-II question paper leakage.
In the representation, the NSF stated that it is gravely disturbed by the developments confirmed by the Board’s notification.
"Such incidents not only compromise the sanctity of the examination process but also erode the trust of students, parents and all stakeholders in an evaluation system that is expected to uphold fairness, transparency and merit," it stated.
The Federation acknowledged the immediate steps initiated by the Board, including the continuation of examinations, strict confidentiality measures, and the temporary withholding of results for four subjects. However, it emphasised that decisive and exemplary disciplinary action against those responsible is crucial.

The NSF urged the NBSE to ensure a thorough and impartial investigation into the circumstances leading to the leakage of confidential examination materials. It also demanded strict disciplinary measures on any individual, whether staff, institutional head, or other personnel found to be involved, whether directly or through negligence.
Furthermore, the NSF called for strengthening protocols and monitoring mechanisms within schools and examination centres to prevent the recurrence of such incidents.
