“Though it may seem otherwise, the period of study in our lives is very short. And what we do during this period is crucial as it will determine the course of the rest of our lives. The friends we make, the courses we take, the lessons we learn both in and outside the classroom, the hobbies we develop and habits we pick up, these are the things that will mould you to the person that you desire to be,” Sukhalu said.
While pointing out that there are many ways to gain knowledge, of which social media is one, Sukhalu encouraged the students to inculcate the habit of reading.
“I will especially espouse reading, as it can open up your mind to the best of human experience, wisdom and knowledge; the kind of knowledge that has stood the test of time and will give you the confidence to face the challenges of life and come out successful,” he said.
