DIMAPUR — The Dimasa Baptist Church and Council of Nagalim Churches, NSCN (IM), jointly organised the Naga National Prayer Day 2025 on the theme ‘O God, heal us,’ at CHQ Church, Camp Hebron, on Sunday.
In a press release, the MIP NSCN (IM) stated that 21 churches and around 1,500 neighbouring church members, including national workers, attended the prayer day programme.
Seven churches from the surrounding villages delivered their messages through songs.
Pastor Zizora Thaosen, executive secretary of the Dimasa Baptist Church, expounded on the theme of the Naga National Prayer Day.

Singyaola Zimik, member of NSCN (IM) collective leadership, reflected on reconciliation and relationships among the Nagas, referencing the Scriptures (Colossians, Romans, and Ephesians).
She stated that reconciliation is based on restoring what is a broken, praying together and resolving difference. Zimik emphasised that their mission on earth is limitless and that they are called to preach the Gospel beyond their land and boundaries.
She also shared her distress over the past and present situation of the Naga national struggle, highlighting the hardships, divisions, and disunity that have emerged within their society.
She expressed deep dismay, questioning how, despite 28 years of peace negotiations, Nagas have become so divided, fractured, and broken among themselves. To restore unity, she stressed the need for self-introspection and retrospection.
Zimik emphasised that forgiveness and acceptance are crucial in the reconciliation process to achieve lasting harmony. She urged the congregation to focus on the greater good, setting aside selfish motives and personal interests.
She further noted that this transformation had to begin within each individual. She called for renouncing evil deeds and humbling themselves before God, emphasising that the time to do so was now.
Tongmeth Wangnao, Kedallo, emphasised that the Naga national struggle has been sustained thus far by the grace of God. He reminded everyone to be thankful to God for enabling the Nagas to become bona fide members of the UNPO and for the historic signing of the Framework Agreement.
Reflecting on Proverbs, Wangnao affirmed that the Bible is the living ‘Word of God’ and that its predictions are fulfilled. Drawing a parallel with Israel and Gaza, he compared the situation of the Nagas.
He stressed that prayer and unity are the top priorities for the Naga people, enabling God to deliver them from all obstacles. The prayer points were then led by pastors from neighbouring churches, chaplains, CNC staff, and women leaders.
