Officials from MSME and NITI Aayog visited Kiphire to review Kiphire Aspirational District works and encouraged innovation in government projects.

DIMAPUR — Mercy Epao, Joint Secretary for the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), along with Prarthana Pawale, Central Prabhari Officer for the Aspirational District and Block Programme, NITI Aayog, was on a three-day visit to Kiphire district from April 13 to the 15th.
As part of the visit, a consultative meeting was held on April 14 chaired by Temsuwati Longkumer, Deputy Commissioner of Kiphire, at the DPDB hall, Kiphire.
According to a DIPR report, during the review meeting, discussions were held with line departments regarding innovation projects of the National Institute for Transforming India (NITI Aayog) and the culmination of Sampoornata Abhiyan 2.0.
While interacting with the officers, the joint secretary enquired about the activities of each department and encouraged the heads of departments in Kiphire Aspirational District to be more innovative in implementing government projects and their roles and responsibilities.

Interacting with the SHG workers, she informed the members to organise exhibitions outside the district showcasing the best agricultural produce and various other products from Kiphire Aspirational District and further advised them to apply for schemes, assuring funding.
She further assigned the heads of offices in the district to prepare an annual plan for development to improve the performance of the district. She directed the officers to submit the same to the DC of Kiphire for further necessary action.
The purpose of the visit was the inspection and monitoring of diverse programmes undertaken under the Kiphire Aspirational District programme. The team also visited key villages such as Amahator, Thethuyo, and Phelungre.
