MP Phangnon underscores role of women in nation-building

DIMAPUR — Rajya Sabha MP from Nagaland, S Phangnon Konyak, has underscored the important role of women in leading a new paradigm of nation-building as envisioned by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, and empowered with Nari Shakti as decision-makers and society shapers.

She stated this in one the sessions during the 3rd edition of ‘Digital Democracy Dialogue’ held in Panaji, Goa, from September 24 to the 26th on the theme “Women-led development, women-led society.” The event was organised by Rambhau Mhalgi Prabodhini with the support of the Entertainment Society of Goa and the Government of Goa.

An update from press secretary to the MP stated that she also highlighted the role of technology and digitisation in strengthening democracy by amplifying voices and widening participation, stressing the importance of using those tools responsibly to ensure inclusive and sustainable democratic growth.
