- DIMAPUR — The Mokokchung Town Lanur Telongjem
(MTLT) endorsed the demands of the Ao Students Conference (AKM) regarding the
“pathetic condition” of the Imkokgliba Memorial District Hospital (IMDH),
especially concerning the visible substandard work at the new hospital blocks.
- The MTLT, in a press statement, said it deeply appreciated
the genuine concern of the AKM for undertaking an on-spot inspection of the
ongoing works at the IMDH and taking stock of the situation on May 21.
- The MTLT, sharing the concerns raised by the apex Ao student
body, appealed to the concerned authority, especially the contractor KC Infra
Projects Pvt. Limited, to take the matter seriously and rectify their mistakes
at the earliest. At the same time, the MTLT joined the AKM in demanding that
the state government give special emphasis to the IMDH construction, as its
completion is long overdue.

- Stating that it goes without saying that the IMDH is the
first referral point for patients in Mokokchung and remains the only hope for
many to find a cure for their ailments, it added that the concerns raised by
the AKM regarding the IMDH are genuine public concerns that the authorities
must address immediately.
- The MTLT asserted that it is always ready to stand with the
AKM and offer wholehearted support to any course of action they take regarding
the IMDH issue.
