- DIMAPUR — As part
of oral cancer screening month, the National Oral Health programme (NOHP),
Mokokchung, conducted a free oral screening programme for Mokokchung Municipal
Council (MMC) sanitation workers at the conference hall of at IMDH on Thursday.
- In a short programme, Taliyangshi, health in-charge of MMC,
thanked the department for the programme. He requested for continuity of such
community aiding programmes even in the days to come.
- In his speech, Dr. Keneitheja, dental surgeon at IMDH,
Mokokchung, stated that screening of oral cancer could save lives by early
detection and treatment.
- The programme culminated with a free oral check up for MMC
sanitation workers and distribution of free oral hygiene kits inclusive of
toothpaste, brush and medicines.
