The Mokokchung District Two-Wheeler Taxi Association held its general meeting on September 5 to discuss safety and discipline.

MOKOKCHUNG — The Mokokchung District Two-Wheeler Taxi Association held its general meeting at the treasurer's residence in Mokokchung town on Saturday. The meeting was attended by permit holders and riders of the association.
Addressing the gathering, Treasurer I Yanger Lemtur urged members to strictly abide by the constitution of the association and discharge their duties with dignity, integrity, and a sense of responsibility towards the public.
The members also resolved to make wearing uniforms and helmets compulsory for all two-wheeler taxi riders. The decision aimed to promote discipline, professionalism, and safety among riders while providing better service to the public.
During the meeting, office bearers for the 2026-2028 tenure were also nominated.
The association reiterated its commitment to maintaining member discipline and providing safe, responsible, and dignified transportation services to the people of Mokokchung.
