DIMAPUR — The Mokokchung District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting for the month of July was held at DC’s conference hall on Thursday under the chairmanship of MLA and Chairman DPDB Mokokchung, Nuklutoshi Longkumer.
The DPDB meeting reviewed plastic waste management in the district, with Mokokchung Municipal Council members highlighting initiatives taken to tackle the issue, a DIPR report stated.

The board approved LADP schemes for Mokokchung district, 2025-2026, commending the iconic project programme and sports fund allocation. It also recommended obtaining a no objection certificate (NOC) for the Tuli town helipad project.
The Board also approved and recommended registration for three societies, including AKM Nation Builder's Society, Mokokchung; Sports Society Soyim, Ungma; and Akhoya Village Bamboo Growers Society.
Further, the chairman discussed the status of NH-702D (Mokokchung-Maraini road) with concerned department members.
