Mokokchung District Task Force concludes Pan-India Rescue & Rehabilitation Campaign 4.0, raising awareness and urging prevention of child labour.
MOKOKCHUNG — The District Task Force, Mokokchung, concluded the Pan-India Rescue & Rehabilitation Campaign 4.0 on Monday, aimed at creating awareness about child labour and preventing the engagement of children in work, particularly hazardous and unsafe environments.
The campaign, organised to commemorate World Day against Child Labour, was held from June 12 to August 31 under the theme, “Red Card to Child Labour – Fair Play for Children, Decent Work for Adults.”
As part of the campaign, the District Task Force conducted discussions, verification exercises and visits to various establishments, including restaurants, cafés and vehicular workshops.
The activities focused on checking compliance with child labour-related provisions and sensitising proprietors about the need to provide children with a safe environment conducive to their growth and education.
The campaign began with poster campaigns and sensitisation programmes targeting workers, proprietors and members of the public. Through these activities, the task force sought to highlight the harmful effects of child labour and urged employers to refrain from engaging children in work.

The campaign reinforced the message that children should be in school and protected from exploitation, while adults should have access to safe and decent employment opportunities.
The District Task Force called upon business owners, workers and the general public to cooperate with the campaign and play an active role in preventing child labour in the district.
