Modern College Piphema NSS contingent represents Nagaland at the Northeast NSS Festival 2026 in Aizawl, Mizoram.
DIMAPUR — A contingent comprising 30 National Service Scheme (NSS) volunteers and two programme officers from Modern College, Piphema, represented Nagaland at the Northeast NSS Festival 2026 held at Berawtlang in Aizawl, Mizoram, from September 21 to the 25th.
The festival brought together NSS volunteers from across the northeastern states to promote youth leadership, cultural exchange, community service, and national integration, according to an update.
During the five-day festival, the Nagaland contingent participated in various events, including extempore speech, cultural song and dance, video presentation, and quiz competition.
They also took part in cleanliness drives, disaster management mock drills, self-defence training sessions, and educational sightseeing, gaining practical skills and exposure.
