DIMAPUR — The NCC unit of Modern College conducted a ‘Cleanliness drive-cum-trekking programme’ to Mt. Pulie Badze as part of an environmental initiative on February 21.
The programme aimed to promote environmental awareness, instil a sense of social responsibility, and encourage physical fitness among the cadets. A total of 18 cadets participated in the activity.
According to an update, upon reaching the trekking route, the cadets engaged in collecting plastic waste, bottles, wrappers, and other non-biodegradable materials scattered along the trail and surrounding areas.
It stated that the drive contributed to preserving the natural beauty of the area and created awareness among visitors and local residents about responsible waste management.
