MLA Kuzholuzo Nienu inaugurates a boundary stone, ending a 96-year land dispute between Khuza and Mutsale villages.

DIMAPUR — Kuzholuzo Nienu, MLA, inaugurated the boundary stone between Khuza and Mutsale villages in Phek district on Thursday.
The stone pillar stands as a testimony to the mutual commitments to live in harmony and fraternity between Khuza village and Mutsale village and the end of animosity and hostility, stated an update.
“The land dispute spanning more than 9 decades dating to the British era, which witnessed confrontations and bloodshed and seemed impossible to solve, was amicably settled on 29th April 2021, made possible through the grace of God, the goodwill initiatives of Kuzholuzo (Azo) Nienu, MLA 19th Phek A/C & Zhopra Vero, Kedahge NNC/FGN, the relentless efforts of the Phek Area Public Organization, the patronage of Phek DC Razouvolie Dozo and the compliance and desire of the two villages, whose leaders are remembered on this pillar, to live in peaceful co-existence,” scripted in the boundary stone.

Addressing the gathering, Nienu described the peace treaty between the two villages as one of the biggest achievements in a lifetime and stated that the peaceful co-existence of communities and villages should be the primary focus of any leader and the government.
As Christians, the Bible also teaches people to live at peace with one another as brothers, as stated in Psalm 133.1, he said, adding, “These are necessary in order to bring blessings to the community.”
He also thanked Zhopra Vero, the then Phek DC Razouvolie Dozo, the present DC Rhosietho Nguori, and the present EAC Khuza Mechetso Koza for their presence and patronage.
