MLA Kevipodi Sophie unveils KDFA jersey for Dr. T Ao Trophy 2025 at IG Stadium, Kohima.

KOHIMA — Kohima District Football Association (KDFA) officially unveiled its team jersey for the upcoming Dr. T Ao Trophy 2025 during a ceremony held at the IG Stadium on Wednesday. The unveiling was led by MLA Kevipodi Sophie, who also serves as the Convener of the Organising Committee for the 24th Inter-District Football Championship.
The event also saw the presence of MLA and Co-Convener Dr. Tseilhoutuo Rhutso, Deputy Commissioner of Kohima B Henok Buchem, Superintendent of Police Kohima Teisovise Metha, Nagaland Football Association (NFA) President Neibou K Sekhose, members of the organising committee, KDFA officials, and players.

The launching ceremony began with a prayer led by Pudil Tsükrü, executive member of KDFA.
The Dr. T Ao Trophy—named in honour of Dr. Talimeren Ao, the legendary Naga footballer and India’s first Olympic football captain—continues to be one of Nagaland’s most prestigious inter-district football tournaments.
The 2025 edition of the tournament will be held from August 1 to 15, organised by the NFA, hosted by KDFA, and powered by the District Planning and Development Board, Kohima.
